Our medical kits can be found on many of the largest and most high profile yachts in the world, with a range of medical kits suitable for use on any size of craft from day-cruiser to super-yacht.

Our medical kits are manufactured in England using UK licensed medications and equipment with all instructions in English.

The directors and owners of Ocean Medical International are Dr. David Irons MB ChB the designer of the OMI Medical Kit System; an intelligent, easy to use method to aid medical situations at sea or away from medical attention, and Dr Ian Marshall MB BS FRCGP FRACGP Formerly an MCA Approved Doctor, Ian is currently an Associate Professor in Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney. With their many years of experience teaching the MCA Medical Courses, and in remote emergency medical care, Ian & David have applied their extensive expertise and knowledge in developing the current range of kits.

Dr David Irons is an MCA approved tutor for STCW95 course with more than 12 years experience teach yachting crews. He has a mixed medical background involving General Practice, Emergency medicine and an extensive experience organizing remote telemedicine systems and services related to both yachting and also many remote sites. These include jungle, mining, and remote communities. Dr Irons has a quite unique insight and range of experience that allows him to design and develop systems that aim to increase safety and the range of treatment where there are no or minimal medical staff available.

Kim Shields, Sales Manager Europe, is based in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Kim has a long association of working with the yachting industry, having been involved with RYA training courses, sailing schools and service provision to yachts for many years. She has lived in Mallorca for more than 20 years and speaks fluent Spanish.

Rebecca Castellano, Sales Manager USA & Caribbean, is based in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. Becky is an experienced former nurse, and prior to joining OMI worked with the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, She is a life-long sailing enthusiast and is very well known and highly regarded in the American yacht industry.
